Pushing Back On Those Who Cause Hurt.
Those who care about others and value beauty are usually the ones who are mocked and bullied. Being more sensitive in character, they are the ones who inevitably become hurt, rather than those people who care about nothing but themselves, and are the perpetrators of emotional upset. However, even the ones' causing distress can be victims themselves if they are filled with anger, envy, or a need to hit out at the world after experiencing pain in their own sphere of existence.
As in my book 'Doctrine of the Asurlette', a former loyal friend of General Llanfair's turns against him, but all is not what it seems, and being only book one in a series of five there is much more to find out why he has chosen, along with the dragoons, to mock our beloved hero! The picture below is the book my daughter bought me for detailing all of the characters names, personalities and connections with one another. It is like a soup of DNA for the world I created, whilst the picture above is the original concept idea for Dieter Llanfair which my daughter created. Further stages will follow soon.
Here is the full poem, 'Don't Mock!' which was only partially given last time. The speech parts refer to the General speaking out aloud that part as opposed to the other parts which he thinks out to the surrounding atmosphere. The cyan streams have a great significance to him personally.
DON’T MOCK!
Cause to cry,
Yet you see fun,
Kicking with your words and deeds,
Bringing down the pleasant lands,
Tainting all the air it feeds.
“Crushing decency until it breaks its seal,
Nurturing your vile vision of mire!”
Can’t you hear the bell
That softly yearns?
Don’t you see how the dagger turns?
Loving only the tear that burns?
Wake-up from your vicious dream,
Don’t Mock!
Running with the awful hounds,
Ignoring all the hidden
Golden crowns,
Those friends are tempting
All who watch,
To land by night on inferior grounds.
“They create a silent battlefield,
Laced with hate and infected barbed wire!”
I see beauty in all things,
Whatever I imagine sings.
Perched up high
On clouds of truth,
I see what all humanity brings
Stand tall,
Ignore your stinging hell,
Don’t Mock!
My fate that ebbs and wanes,
Is sealed,
Caught in an eddy of soulful light,
Kissing those I love,
In various shades of cyan streams,
Great memories of chromatic life,
That you could never blight.
“There exists an era of thoughtfulness
With fire.”
Don’t laugh at me,
And ridicule,
Or set your
fate,
To be a fool,
Don’t you realise,
Your path is cruel,
Until you see yourself,
Don’t mock!
“Cry not, for the tainted water
That laps the pristine shore,
Hides the vivid soul of truth.”
